As an elementary school our
programming is based on both the Montessori and Ontario elementary school curriculums.
As a private school we adhere to the highest teaching standards, providing an exciting and thorough exploration
of each curriculum component. We group students over a three year cycle enabling them to form close bonds with
their teachers and fellow students.
Mentoring is an important aspect of the overall experience at Greenwoods Academy. The multi-age classrooms allow for the exchange of ideas, peer and teacher mentoring as well as social connections. Within the curriculum students have the opportunity to learn about global awareness and social diversity through Peace Education.

School is closed for 2 weeks in December for Holiday Vacation, 1 week in March for School Break, all Ontario statutory holidays and 3 professional development days. Please see school calendar for more details.
There are two scheduled Parent-Teacher interviews in November and May.
